Grandpa was a great man- extremely intelligent and accomplished, yet humble. I have his Certificate of Standing that my uncle gave me, at my graduation. I keep it next to my law degree in my office. Many of my colleagues have asked about it, and I am proud to tell them that my grandfather was one of the few Indian barristers... yet what I remember most about him is his kindness and loving nature. And that he was an incurable romantic who loved to read. I was only 11 when he died, but I remember that he spent his last night at my house. I am proud to be his grandaughter.
